What people have said about us

Dave and Carly are at present in the Maldives, enjoying a ten day honeymoon.

They have asked me to write on their behalf to express all of our gratitude for your contribution in making their wedding day such a memorable occasion. It was always Carly’s dream to have a horse and carriage on her wedding day and we did not want to disappoint her. When we met in March 2010 we knew Ottowa would be perfect, a true star.

The day itself was perfect, just a shame that the weather was out of our control, however it did remain dry.

If a future opportunity was to arise, we would have no hesitation in recommending Castle Carriages to family and friends if requiring a horse and carriage.

Yours sincerely

Alan Brooks (Father of Bride)

Dear Viv and Geoff

Thank you so much for all your time and efforts for our special day. You both looked fantastic and Ottawa, well what can I say? He was stunning!

We had an absolutely magical day with lots of wonderful memories that we will never forget! We should get the photos back soon and we will email some through to you.

Thank you so much again!

Dear Viv and Geoff

We wanted to write and thank you so much for making our wedding day so very special.

From the initial phone call and meeting with you back in May 2010 you were extremely friendly, efficient and professional as well as making us feel comfortable; we knew then that you were right for us and to carry out ‘my dream’ of having a horse and carriage for my wedding day.

Seeing you waiting when I was eventually ready with your suits on and the carriage presented so beautifully set me off – hence me being so quiet! Ottawa looked stunning and he behaved impeccably, I know you are very proud of him and rightly so. A huge thank you for all your hard work, not only on the day but beforehand as well!

We are sure to see you again soon at Herstmonceux Castle and will highly recommend you.

Thank you so much again.

With love to you all and a cuddle to Ottawa.

"I would like to thank you very much for making Jo and Brook's wedding day trip in your charming horse drawn carriage go so well. And so sorry for the long wait. I didnt have time to speak to you because I just became totally involved with guests etc but I can assure you that I was very grateful for everything you did that day. It brought tears to my eyes seeing everyone cheer the newly weds as they set off with you and I will always remember this. Soon there will be photos and I will send you one."

"The wedding went very well - we warmed up in a heated marquee with lots of food, drink and dancing so inspite of cold conditions (luckily no rain) it was a huge success."

"I have just started all my thank you letters and of course you were in line for one! So, firstly, thank you so much for making our day so wonderful. We loved the carriage and Ottawa looked so lovely and thank you both for doing it all so well and beautifully and for supplying the second coach too which my bridesmaids just loved."

"PS. Clyde you are a star."

"We wanted to write to thank you for your services at our wedding. From our initial meeting you were not only professional and efficient but friendly and very re-assuring.

Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the rides and it added a little extra that made the day special. I never thought I would be arriving as a bride on a horse and carriage and this just made a dream come true. Seeing you waiting when I came out of the castle with your suits on and the carriage presented so beautifully started the tears creeping up! Clyde was gleaming and he behaved impeccably, you must be very proud of him. A great big thank you to you all.

We had a fantastic day and we are so pleased we made that phone call - one of the things that worked well and we would recommend to anyone."

"Thank you so much for helping to make my daughter's wedding such a special day. I could see the amount of work you had to put in. Sorry that I could not do much about the weather, you must have been freezing. Thanks again."

"Thank you so much for taking Tim and me to the Church with Ottawa. It made my dreams come true. He is a magnificent animal. We had a perfect wedding day.

We are waiting for the photos to come back from the photographers and will contact you when we have them and arrange to bring them over to see you. I am also keen to see Clyde!!. Thank you again ."

"I am sorry I was not around to say goodbye and thank you when our new May Queen and her Court transferred to a car for the last part of their tour. The girls and Calvin had a wonderful time: Ottawa and the wagonette were splendid and we thank you very much for all your support.

A provisional booking for next year please...."

"Dear Viv, I am writing to you many months after our wedding at Herstmonceux Castle. We were lucky enough to have yourself, your husband and Ottawa be apart of what turned out to be a perfect day - August 15th 2008.

I not only would like to thank you for your help and professionalism on our wedding day but to say how having your Horse and Carriage made our day a fairytale wedding and my long awaited 'Princess for a day' dream come true. "
